FULL-TIME: JWANENG GALAXY 2–0 MOCHUDI CENTRE CHIEFS

Magosi undone by early goals in Jwaneng

Mochudi Centre Chiefs suffered a 2–0 defeat away to Jwaneng Galaxy at Galaxy Stadium on Wednesday evening, in a match where two first-half goals proved decisive.

Galaxy struck almost immediately, scoring after just 38 seconds, a moment that disrupted Chiefs’ rhythm and forced an early reshuffle of the tactical approach. The hosts doubled their lead in the 44th minute, sending Magosi into the break with a tough mountain to climb.

To their credit, Chiefs fought hard in the second half. Coach Piro Moloi introduced Ronaldo Fortune, Ibroihim Youssouf, and Bennett, changes that sparked renewed energy and produced several promising moments in the final third. Despite creating good chances and pushing Galaxy deeper, the Magosi couldn’t find the goal needed to turn the contest around.

Speaking after the match, Coach Piro admitted the early setback changed everything:

“Conceding that early threw a lot of plans out the window. It’s always difficult when you play a strong side like Galaxy, especially away from home, but we tried in the second half.”

He also highlighted the effort from the squad:

“The boys pushed. We created chances after the substitutions, but we couldn’t convert. We take the lessons and move forward.”

Chiefs were without Argentine midfielder Nicolás Melgarejo, who is sidelined with a hairline ankle fracture picked up in training. On a more positive note, Ernest returned to the squad.

The defeat leaves Magosi on 20 points after 11 games, now eight points behind log leaders Jwaneng Galaxy, who extend their advantage at the top.

Chiefs will regroup and continue their push as the season rolls on.
