Magosi Held by TAFIC in Rainy Lobatse Stalemate

Mochudi Centre Chiefs played to a 0–0 draw with TAFIC FC in a rain-affected home fixture at Lobatse Sports Complex, with the wet conditions and resolute defending denying Magosi a winning goal.

Coming into the match on the back of an important 1–0 away victory over Sua Flamingoes, secured by a Ronaldo Fortune strike, Chiefs looked determined to build on that momentum in front of their supporters.

Magosi controlled large periods of the contest and launched a sustained wave of attacks, creating several promising openings in and around the penalty area. However, the breakthrough proved elusive, with the slippery surface making the final pass and finish difficult on the night.

TAFIC remained compact and disciplined throughout, while Chiefs’ defence ensured there was no threat at the other end, securing another clean sheet.

The result sees Mochudi Centre Chiefs remain third on the table with 41 points, behind log leaders Gaborone United on 50 points and second-placed Jwaneng Galaxy on 47 points as the race at the top continues.

Although the goal would not come, the performance once again highlighted Magosi’s consistency and control as the season moves into a decisive phase.
