MAGOSI CROWNED HOTEL 430 LEGACY CUP CHAMPIONS

Mochudi Centre Chiefs closed the year in style after lifting the Hotel 430 Legacy Cup at Royal Aria Stadium, delivering two confident performances that showcased depth, hunger and growing momentum within the squad.

The tournament began with a tightly contested semi-final against log leaders Gaborone United, where Chiefs rose to the occasion and claimed a deserved 2–1 victory. Ronaldo Fortune opened the scoring in the first half with a calm finish, before trialist Evans announced himself with a well-taken second-half goal that ultimately proved decisive. GU pulled one back late, but Magosi managed the final stages with composure to secure a place in the final.

In the other semi-final, Township Rollers edged past Extension Gunners in a dramatic penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw, setting up a classic derby showdown in the final.

The final belonged to Chiefs from start to finish. The team carried their confidence into the afternoon and controlled large stretches of the match, eventually sealing a 2–0 win over Rollers. Evans, once again, made an impression with the opener in the first half, before Inno added a second after the break to put the result beyond doubt.

It was a professional, disciplined and spirited performance from the entire squad — a perfect reflection of the hard work the team has put in throughout the season. Victory also provided a fitting close to the calendar year, giving Magosi supporters a memorable moment to celebrate heading into the festive break.

The Legacy Cup title now stands as another marker of progress in the project, and a reminder that Mochudi Centre Chiefs continue to move in the right direction, both in performance and ambition.
